This annual event brings together Atheists, agnostics, freethinkers, secularists, non-believers and humanists from across Texas.  Join us for a day of exciting activities, from inspiring and informative lectures to social events including networking, live music, food, community and conversation with other like-minded free thinkers.

As always, the Texas Freethought Convention is a family-friendly event with plenty of activities for kids of all ages.  Secular organizations are especially encouraged to attend. The convention is an ideal setting to exchange ideas and network with other organizations throughout the state of Texas.


Expect to have a LOT of fun, so bring your friends too!  We look forward to seeing you!

Makin' the Rounds
For the past several months Paul has traveled throughout Texas meeting with the various groups of freethinkers and promoting the event. THANKS to everybody letting us in the door so we can talk your ears off about the event!

After hanging out with the Freethinkers of Dallas, Paul drove to Arlington, Texas to visit the Metroplex Atheists. 
The Freethinkers of East Texas, night of July 9th, involved in lively conversation at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Tyler.  I loved this group; they're a great bunch of people. 
Everybody was so friendly, and really rolled out the welcome mat.  Their stories of living in north east Texas were all compelling.
The discussion and debate here was on par with anything I've ever seen anywhere else in the nation.

Who says there aren't any atheists in Tyler Tx?  According to the folks at this meetup, this was a "light" night, as they said often 20 or more people show up. I couldn't get enough of that popcorn!
Apparently there are many more non-believers in the area as well.

I cornered Daniel Dennett at the AAI Convention for his signature.  Here he is signing copies of his books we'll be raffling at the event!  Actually he was more than willing to sign the books as he knew we'd meet prior to the AAI Convention.   We'll be raffling "Breaking the Spell" and "Darwin's Dangerous Idea."
